Inspection Team
The Inspection Team was formally founded in June 200,. Although it has been only
a short long term from then on, the Inspection Team has played an important part
in standardizeing project management in Nova. The Inspection Team is intended to
enhance our internal management skills as well as the team spirit among each project
team; meanwhile optimize the criteria of project management. Eventually, the ultimate
goal is to promote the quality and improve customer's satisfaction index.
Team Members
The leader of the Inspection Team is our deputy manager, Caven. Caven understands
all theories about how to implement successful projects and has very rich experience
in project management.
The other members are project managers who have solid experience in project management
as well. In fact, each member has their own specialty, for example, some members
are specialized in development as well as administration; some are specialized in
checking the code rules, and others may put emphasis on the criteria of testing
plan, strategies, execution and effects.
The common goal of all team members is to inspect and supervise how the project
teams implement the criteria so as to increase the odds of project success.
Team Duties
To the end, the ultimate duty of the team is to standardize project management and
improve project quality from various aspects. To be specific, the Inspection Team
takes duties as follows:
- To inspect whether each project team execute project standards, as well as whether
every project member obeys these criteria which include code, workflow, management,
QA, and so on.
- As for reported issues, the team will analyze, discuss and come up with feasible
solutions.
- To track, supervise and recheck the project team or member until all standards are
obeyed or the project team is operating well for a long time.
- To detect andsummarize best practices while inspecting the project, and try to popularize
them in other projects.
Besides to these main duties, Inspection Team hasother rights, for example, they
can punish someone if he refuses to implement these standards, and they will check
if one employee has been qualified for promotion.
Achievements
Sinceinception, the team has already been carried out twelve inspections in 2008.
As a result, it has produced great influence on every project and obtained notable
achievements.
Firstly, with been inspected and supervised regularly, all project members have
learned well about relative development standards and project leaders can manage
their projects efficiently.
Besides, Inspection Team helped some projects correct their nonstandard behavior.
There is an example, one of the project team always worked overtime but still the
client wasn't satisfied with their efficiency. Via inspecting in full aspects, the
team found the biggest problem lied in project management. After conferring with
other experienced team members, the team gave out a proper solution and helped to
solve this issue. Now it is in a good condition.
Furthermore, with the team's efforts, the best practices which were practised by
one project have been popularized successfully among other projects.
