Nova News: Nova donates to Red Cross Fund for Yushu earthquake
April 28,2010
As an enterprise with strong sense of social responsibility, Nova is always devoted to the public welfare. On April 14th, 2010,
a 7.1-magnitude earthquake suddenly struck Yushu county, Qinghai Province, northwest of China. Up to now, the death toll has been up to 2,200.
Lots of houses have been destroyed and about 100 thousand people have become homeless. To help these earthquake-stricken survivors,
Nova launched an internal donation campaign. There are two channels to gather money: one is to allocate part of the money
from our Love Charity Fund, which comes from small amounts of penalties of employee's incompliance behaviors. The other channel is
our employees' voluntary donations. Then, in the name of Nova, all the money was given away to Chinese Red Cross Foundation to
show our best wishes for Yushu.
